ZEBULON, N.C., (May 3, 2010) – Nomacorc will participate in the O2inWines™ association’s Oxygen and Wine Quality panel discussion at the 2010 London International Wine Fair. On Tuesday, May 18, Dr. Stéphane Vidal, global director of enology for Nomacorc, will join key wine industry professionals to discuss oxygen management as a strategic practice in vinification and bottling procedures to better maintain wine quality.
The panel discussion will be led by well-known British wine author and blogger Dr. Jamie Goode. Via a pragmatic debate, the event will focus on the impact of oxygen on wine quality from harvest to consumption. The discussion will also highlight the latest industry tools and technical solutions for fighting against wine defaults caused by oxygen and include recent studies and results from universities and research centers.
The discussion will also have a consumer focus, which will center on the finished product, the strict specifications imposed on producers by distributors, and the consumer’s awareness of this issue through the quality of the wine delivered.
